Terms of Service

Last updated: September 10, 2026

These terms govern your use of roofsort.com, the RoofSort territory intelligence platform, and the RoofSort Storm Alert text message program (together, the "Services"), operated by RoofSort ("we", "us"). By using the Services you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Who the Services are for

The Services are built for licensed roofing contractors and their staff operating in Florida. You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act for the company you register.

Storm Alert text message program

When you register at roofsort.com/storm-alerts and check the consent box, you agree to receive automated storm alert text messages from RoofSort at the mobile number you provide. Alerts are sent when hail or wind at or above the threshold you chose is recorded in a Florida county you follow.

  • Frequency: varies with the weather. Typically 2 to 10 messages per month during storm season, fewer in winter.
  • Cost: the program is free. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
  • Opt out: reply STOP to any message to cancel. You may receive one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed.
  • Help: reply HELP to any message, or email robc@roofsort.com.
  • No purchase required: consent to receive texts is not a condition of buying anything from RoofSort.
  • Carriers: mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

You confirm that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number you register, and that you will tell us if the number changes hands.

Weather data and accuracy

Storm alerts are based on government weather data, radar-derived hail and wind estimates, and public property records. They are estimates. A storm may be missed, an alert may be issued for an area that saw little damage, and the home counts in an alert are approximate. Alerts are provided for lead-generation purposes only and are not a substitute for an on-site inspection. We make no warranty that alerts are accurate, complete, or timely.

Acceptable use

You agree not to resell, scrape, or redistribute data from the Services, to register numbers you do not control, to submit false information, or to use the Services in violation of any law, including laws that govern door-to-door solicitation and contractor licensing in Florida.

Platform accounts

Access to the RoofSort platform is by subscription under a separate agreement with the contractor. Those agreement terms control for platform accounts where they conflict with this page.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Services are provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, RoofSort disclaims all warranties, express or implied, and is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the free Storm Alert program is limited to one hundred dollars.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Duval County, Florida.
